Abstract

Introduction: Superficial acral fibromyxoma or digital fibromyxoma is a benign soft tissue tumor, it is located
mainly in the nail and subungual region of the hands and feet, its immunohistochemistry differs between
patients, being the histopathological examination the one that defines its diagnosis.

Objective: Describe a clinical case of superficial acral fibromyxoma.

Material and methods: A descriptive, retrospective, clinical case presentation study was carried out.

Results: The clinical case of a 53-year-old male patient with no previous history of superficial acral fibromyxoma
is described.

Conclusions: Superficial acral fibroadenoma is a rare nail bed tumor and despite having positive Ki67 and
CD34 positive, it is a benign neoplasm.
