Author Guidelines

The journal Boletín de Coyuntura receives scientific research articles, review and reflection, focused on: economics, finance, administration and accounting; In addition, they must be unpublished, original and/or review, which have not been previously published in full or in part in any printed or electronic medium. Authors should not simultaneously/multiplely submit the same article to different publications or publishers. Any socialization of results regarding the written topic may be carried out after the publication of the corresponding Boletín de Coyuntura. The reception is permanent throughout the year.

 

Preparation and submission of articles

The manuscripts should be prepared following the guidelines for articles found in the instructions for the preparation of articles and sent in Word format through the OJS platform of the journal, in addition, the type of article must be indicated (scientific investigation, review or reflection) and the field of knowledge covered (economics, finance, administration or accounting). The receipt of manuscripts in no way implies a commitment to publication by the journal. 

It is MANDATORY that the author includes his/her ORCID identification code in order to favor authorship standardization. If the author does not have an ORCID code, he/she can obtain it easily and free of charge from the ORCID website, available at the link. Article evaluation

The articles published in the Boletín de Coyuntura are the result of a complete selection process, which includes the Technical Team and Editorial Committee in the first instance. The articles are then peer-reviewed under the double-blind method (the identity of the author and peer reviewers is kept hidden). The members of the Editorial Committee and peer reviewers are national and international specialists. The evaluators use the article evaluation form, which considers the following aspects: 1) Relevance of the article; 2) Formal aspects of the article; 3) Content or substance of the article; 4) Quantitative valuation of the article; 5) Qualitative valuation of the article. In addition, reviewers may attach documents in their review.

As part of the Editorial Process, the journal asks the author to complete the statement of commitment of authors. The editorial management is carried out through the journal's OJS platform.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The article is within the fields of research accepted by the journal
  • The article is within the types of articles accepted by the journal (scientific research, review, reflection)
  • The article is unpublished, original and/or review and has not been previously published in full or in part in any print or electronic media
  • The article has not been submitted simultaneously/multiple and is not under review in another journal or other publication medium
  • The article was prepared following the guidelines for authors (Instructions for the preparation of articles)
  • The authors certify the veracity of the data and the bibliography consulted, as well as the correct citation and declaration of attribution of the information of third parties.
  • Citations and bibliographic references are in APA seventh edition format.
  • The article is in Microsoft Word format and all authors have been included with their personal data (full names, institutional affiliation, faculty/department, city-country, e-mail and ORCID code) (If you do not belong to any institution identify yourself as an independent researcher).

The Technical University of Ambato retains the patrimonial rights (copyright) of published works in the journal "Boletín de Coyuntura", and encourages and allows their reuse, provided that: the original authorship and source of their publication is cited, they are not used for commercial or onerous purposes. The intellectual property of the published articles belongs to the authors.

 

Open access policy

The journal Boletín de Coyuntura is open access, all content is available free of charge and without charge for the user or their institution.
